World Religions Syllabus


During this semester you will engage in deep conversations that support the “universal responsibility” and “intense individuality” that usually is accompanied with our minds. A World Religion curriculum will be the springboard for these conversations. The class will be driven by goals you set according to their ALP(advanced learning plan) and a multiple intelligence test will be demonstrated via a Passion Project. With their WordPress academic portfolio, we will create core class extensions that will engage divergent thinking and organizational skills that strengthen your executive functioning and autonomy. There will be an online literacy circle component discussing the Tae of Piglet, by Benjamin Hoff. You will engage in focused strength area groups that will culminate with interdisciplinary multi media projects as well. I am very excited to be working with you. Students are expected to be in class and on time. If tardies become a pattern they will be addressed via the discipline ladder.


Phones can be an integral part of our curriculum, but can also be a distraction. If phone are out during inappropriate times I will confiscate them.


The culminating grade will be made of three parts: process, product, and project. The content and weight of these assignments is progressive. Process 25%, Product 25%, Project 50%
